National Careers Week
This week at DGGS, students explored how their subjects shape future careers through engaging activities. We welcomed two guest speakers:
Sheena Adelusi - A DGGS alumna and social work leader, Sheena shared her journey from frontline social work to leadership at Liberated By Love Services Ltd., providing valuable insights on safeguarding and career development in social work.
Dr. Antonia Porter - A Lecturer in Law at the University of Kent, Dr. Porter discussed legal careers and the various opportunities a law degree offers, sharing her experiences as a criminal defence lawyer and prosecutor to guide students exploring this path.
Additionally, Year 7-10 students participated in an assembly focused on discovering their “why,” with staff sharing their motivations. Year 11 and the Sixth Form will have theirs next week. We hope this inspires students to reflect on their passions and consider exciting future opportunities.
